Quick answer

What are Scholarly AI Slides?

Scholarly turns a PDF, notes, report, study guide, or topic into an organized PDF deck. Each deck includes clear titles, sections, and explanations drawn from your material. Use it for a class, meeting, client proposal, or research talk.

Upload or paste

Start from a PDF, notes, research outline, or a simple topic prompt. For a PDF, you can pick the exact page range to build from.

Generate a deck

Scholarly structures the content into clear slides with headings, bullets, and examples.

Present and reuse

Present the PDF deck and share a viewing link on every plan, or reuse the same source for flashcards and quizzes. PDF download and print require a paid plan.

Best uses for AI slides

Class presentations

Turn messy group notes into a coherent deck without rebuilding the whole thing manually.

Lecture decks

Create teaching-style slides with definitions, examples, and section breaks.

Study reviews

Make a visual review deck before an exam from notes or textbook chapters.

Source reuse

Use the same material for slides, flashcards, quizzes, podcasts, and video lectures.

Input

PDFs, notes, outlines, pasted text, and topic prompts.

Output

Structured slide decks designed for presentations, meetings, lectures, and studying.

Best for

Students, professionals, and researchers who want the deck and the rest of the workflow in one place.

AI slides built around study material

Most AI presentation tools start from a prompt and invent the structure. Scholarly starts from your actual course material, so the deck stays tied to the content you need to learn or present.

More than a presentation generator

After the deck is made, the same source can become flashcards, a practice test, notes, a podcast, or a narrated video lecture. That internal workflow is why AI slides belong in Scholarly instead of a separate design-only app.

Good for group work and exam review

Upload a group document, chapter summary, or lecture notes. Scholarly organizes the material into a PDF deck you can review and present.

Pick a visual theme

Every deck is generated in a visual theme that sets typography, color, and layout density. Pick Editorial for a warm textbook feel, Vibrant for energy, or Freestyle when you want AI to choose the best look. All three themes are free on every plan, and so is Custom Designs: save your own design profile — standing instructions plus up to 4 reference images — and every new deck follows it.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can Scholarly make slides from a PDF?

Yes. Use PDF to Slides AI to turn any PDF — a textbook chapter, research paper, or work report — into a deck, or use AI Slide Generator when you want a broader prompt-based deck. You can also select a specific page range of the PDF so the deck covers just the chapter you need.

Is this only for school presentations?

No. It works for class presentations, lecture decks, and study-review slides, and equally for work decks, client proposals, team updates, research talks, and topic explainers.

What format does Scholarly generate?

Scholarly saves the generated deck as a PDF. Every plan can present it in Slides View and share a viewing link; PDF download and print require a paid plan.

Can I turn the same source into flashcards?

Yes. Scholarly is built so one source — a chapter, a paper, or a work report — can become slides, flashcards, quizzes, notes, podcasts, and videos.

Which slide tool should I use for my source?

Use the AI Slide Generator for the canonical slide workflow from PDFs, notes, links, or a topic. Use Notes to PowerPoint when notes are your starting point, or Slides to Video when you want to narrate an existing deck. Generated slide decks are saved as PDFs. Free users get the recommended AI model automatically; choosing a specific model is a paid feature.
